In this video, I briefly go over the Safety Squat Bar design and its reason for use. Notice the form when using this bar is similar to that of a normal backsquat. The big differences are that it becomes an front-loaded squat, it’s less strenuous on the front of the shoulders, and it’s a great way to help your front squat. Especially in sports where Quadriceps strength is a huge factor in explosive movements, the safety bar has been proven to be a valuable tool to use.

Having said this, it does make the squat more difficult and it is definitely something to get used to; expect to lower your weight.  Throw this into your current routine and watch your lower body lifts improve along with your athletic abilities.
